
Healthy Bones Action Week is a yearly initiative designed to demonstrate the importance of bone health at every life stage.
Join our Expert Classroom Video & Live Q&A!
This year we are partnering with Kimberlin Education to produce a 10 minute Expert Classroom video and live Q&A!
The expert featured will be Dr Sandra Luliano, a bone nutrition expert who will encourage students to learn more about how to keep their bones healthy by following the 3 steps to building healthy bones:
1. Calcium intake through foods like milk, cheese, yoghurt
2. Weight bearing exercise, such as a hop, skip or jump
3. Vitamin D from safe sunshine
The expert classroom video will show students how to investigate bone strength with a short demonstration.
There will be a live Q&A with Dr Luliano at the end of the week, where students will be invited to ask any questions they have about the Expert Classroom video they watched earlier in the week.
To support the video and Q&A, teachers and parents a will be able to download an activity guide and a student worksheet that can be completed at school or home.
